Call for workshop proposals

The International Conference on the Design of Reliable Communication Networks (DRCN) has been held for more than 20 years, addressing resilience topics, such as reliability and availability of communication networks and becoming a meeting point for both industry and academy. DRCN events have always been envisioned as multidisciplinary, putting together scientists from the fields of engineering of survivable equipment and network technologies as well as network management and monitoring, and without forgetting data analytics for fault diagnosis, among others. After all these years, the level of excellence has grown, making DRCN a well-known meeting point, where academia and industry present innovative and challenging results in the mentioned research fields. In 2023, as we hold the 19th edition of DRCN, we are pleased to invite you to contribute and participate in DRCN 2023 on April 17-20, 2023 in Vilanova i la Geltrú, Barcelona, Spain.

DRCN 2023 will support additional workshops, intended to extend the full set of high- quality activities to be included in the conference program. Workshops need to be aligned to the key conference topics. Other topics may be also accepted as long as they have high impact on the communications field, hence complementing what the main conference topics. Workshops may include regular papers, invited presentations, keynotes, discussion panels, etc., and may last for either a half or full day event.

Workshop proposal
    Each workshop proposal must include the following items:
  • Workshop title
  • Workshop organizers (names, affiliation and contact information)
  • Workshop topics
  • Workshop format, including:
    • Duration: Half-day, Full-day. Any preference about the day. Expected number of papers.
  • Organization, including:
    • Potential TPC members, Invited papers, keynotes, panels, etc.
  • Draft Call for Papers
    • Workshop proposal submission

    Workshop proposals should be submitted as a single PDF file via email to the Workshop Co-Chairs (mellouk@upec.fr, klamprop@ece.upatras.gr, francesc.aguilo@upc.edu). Workshop papers will be added to the DRCN Conference Proceeding and submitted to IEEE Xplore. Please look at the conference website for the required submission information.

  • Proposal Submission Deadline: December 27, 2022
  • Notification of Selection: January 10, 2023
  • Deadline for workshop paper submission: March 6, 2023 March 13, 2023
  • Acceptance/rejection notification: March 13, 2023 March 20, 2023
  • Final workshop papers due: March 20, 2023 March 27, 2023
