Call for tutorials

The International Conference on the Design of Reliable Communication Networks (DRCN) has been held for more than 20 years, addressing resilience topics, such as reliability and availability of communication networks and becoming a meeting point for both, industry and academy. The DRCN conference has always been conceived as multidisciplinary, putting together scientists from the fields of engineering of survivable equipment and network technologies as well as network management and monitoring, and without forgetting data analytics for fault diagnosis among others. After all these years, the level of excellence has grown, making DRCN a well-known meeting point, where academia and industry present novel and challenging results in the mentioned research fields.

In 2023, as we hold the 19th edition of DRCN, we are pleased to invite you to contribute and participate in DRCN 2023 in Vilanova i la Geltrú, Spain, on April 17-20, 2023. Topics of interest for submission must be aligned to the main conference areas, thus addressing challenges and issues pertaining to communication network reliability, availability, maintainability, survivability, and related “ilities”.

  • Tutorial submission deadline: February 10, 2023
  • Tutorial acceptance notification: February 24, 2023
    • Tutorials submission guidelines A DRCN 2023 tutorial proposal should be submitted by email to the tutorials co-chairs in a single PDF file (6 pages maximum) and must include the following:
  • Tutorial title.
  • Tutorial duration: (90-120 minutes).
  • Abstract briefly describing the scope and content of the tutorial (300 words maximum).
  • Names, affiliations and short biographies of the speakers highlighting their experience on the proposed topic (up to 300 words per speaker).
  • Intended audience and a brief description of the background required by the tutorial attendees.
  • Planned format of the tutorial, such as lecture or hands-on.
  • Description of the tutorial content: it should highlight the relevance and timeliness of the addressed topic, the goal of the tutorial, and an outline of its content.
  • If appropriate, a description of previous tutorial experience of the speaker(s), and past versions of the tutorial (including # attendees).
  • Material: a description of the material that will be provided to the tutorial’s attendees, including hands-out and hands-on material (e.g., slides, code snippets, tools, virtual machines).
